Somalian prime minister visits PSU

The former prime minister of Somalia, Ali Khalif Galaydh, will speak Thursday at PSU about globalization, rebuilding Somalia and Western influence.

The speech is being sponsored by the Community Language and Culture Bank and is free and open to the public.

The speech will be held June 15, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Smith Memorial Student Union. For more information, call 503-287-0077.

Professors awarded Fulbrights

Five PSU professors were recently awarded Fulbright Scholar Grants to research abroad.

Professors include: Kenneth Ruoff; Sharon Lee; Jeanette DeCarrico; Mark Kaplan; Barry Edmonston; Barbara Tint (2002-03 grant holder).
