Greater sage grouse populations have diminished by about 50% since European settlement. Sage-grouse populations in Oregon have followed a similar pattern due to a variety of factors including wildfires. Join us as professor Christian Hagen (Oregon State University) discusses the history of this very unique bird, his recent research on the sage grouse, and the outcomes of “sage con.” Oregon Wildlife, as an organization, has been a major sponsor of Christian’s research by way of grants funding.
