The NWPCC is the largest continuous permaculture gathering in North America. This year’s theme is “Greening our neighborhoods.”
The friendly and pro-active River Road Neighborhood in Eugene, Oregon will be hosting the event and offering site tours of home-scale solar design, rainwater catchment, edible landscaping, and collaborations between neighbors. A full roster of workshops, lectures, and demos address diverse topics such as changing climate strategies, community resilience, urban gardening, and deepening our social interactions.
Saturday, will be a free outdoor educational Expo featuring introduction to permaculture classes, self-reliance skills, local green businesses, demos and children’s activities.
There will also be a Green Neighborhood Summit exploring “green preparedness” and how to ally governmental and non-government organizations.
