PSU Foundation appoints new board members, elects officers

The Portland State Foundation recently appointed two new board members and elected officers.

Though they have collaborated in the past, Oregon Health and Science University and Portland State University have developed a formal alliance to meet the growing demands of the Portland region.

Portland State President Wim Wiewel on Monday anounced a new program, known as Éxito, to recruit, support and graduate Latino students, who currently make up 5 percent of the student body at PSU.

As of Sept. 23, young adults can now remain on their parents’ health care plans until the age of 26 under the passage of the Affordable Care Act. An estimated 15,000 Oregon residents are expected to benefit from the law.
