Year two: much better

While most students at Portland State likely spent their Spring Break working, vacationing or just plain relaxing, the men’s tennis team, fittingly, was using the break away from school to establish a tradition that has eluded the team for most of their season: winning tennis matches.

All lacrosse the Northwest

In just its second year of existence, the Portland State Lacrosse Club is already one of the most organized, competitive and popular clubs at Portland State. For years, lacrosse has been extremely popular on the east coast, but only in recently has it begun to gain popularity in Oregon and west of the Rocky Mountains in general.

If there’s one thing you should know about the Portland State women’s tennis team, it’s this: they are winners in every sense of the word despite their apparent struggles on the court.

Defending the crown

With the 2009 golf season approaching quickly for the Portland State golf team, the reigning conference champions are looking forward to defending their title this season.

An upgrade in every way imaginable

Scheduled to open in less than one year, the new student recreation center will be light years ahead of the current recreation center facilities and a significant improvement from the cramped Stott Center.

New look, same goal

Change, the buzzword of the day, is in the air for the track and field team in 2009 and Portland State fans are hoping that the change will boost a traditionally successful program towards an even bigger goal of a conference championship.
