The Portland State women’s soccer team sealed its position in next month’s conference tournament with a 1-0 win over Idaho State in a rain-drenched game at Hillsboro Stadium on Sunday.

Soccer drops two on the road

The Portland State women’s soccer team seems to be suffering from a mild case of homesickness. After twin 3-0 victories at home in the opening weekend of conference play nearly two weeks ago, the Vikings this weekend lost their first two road games of the Big Sky schedule.

On top of the Big Sky

The Portland State women’s soccer team began conference play with twin 3-0 victories over Eastern Washington and Montana at Hillsboro Stadium on Friday and Sunday.

Big Sky’s the limit

The 2010 season hasn’t gone exactly as planned for Portland State women’s soccer. The team is currently on a five-game winless streak, and has an overall record of 4-7-1 this season.

Vikings bit by Bulldogs

Despite a stellar performance in front of the net from senior goalkeeper Rachel Jarvis, Portland State women’s soccer fell to Gonzaga by a lone goal on Sunday in Spokane, Wash.
