Student groups are still prohibited from traveling internationally after the Student Activities and Leadership Programs reviewed its travel policies last summer with Portland State’s legal counsel.

SFC leaving budget cushion
The Student Fee Committee is currently wrapping up the initial budget allocation process for the 2010–11 academic year, and the results will be available for student groups to view online today. The total initial allocation is about $400,000 less than the total amount initially requested by student groups.
Professional Development Center expands
The Professional Development Center is expanding, according to a recent news release. Shelly Carlton, Marketing manager for the School of Extended Studies, explained a few of the expansions.
Behind the Acronym: DAHRT
The Diversity Action Hiring and Retention Team presents Portland State faculty and staff with information on recruiting for diversity, retention and creating a welcoming and inclusive office or department climate for new hires. DAHRT was created in 1999 after, then PSU, President Daniel Bernstine’s Assessment Initiative was enacted.
No green zone
The university is unable to accommodate medical marijuana usage on campus, regardless of a student’s possession of appropriate medical marijuana authorization.
