PSU in 18th place at golf regionals

Portland State women’s golf had a wild day of bogeys and double-bogeys on Thursday, but finished the first day of the NCAA West Regional in Stanford, Calif., in 18th place at 25-over par. Virginia and Arizona are tied for first at 7-over.

Women’s golf finishes 20th at NCAA West

The Portland State women’s golf team swung its last club of the season on Saturday at the NCAA West Regional. The Vikings finished in 20th place at the three-day event held at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif., with a final score of 942 (309, 317, 316).

Golf tied for first at Big Sky Championship

The second day of the Big Sky Golf Championship has been a good one for the Portland State women’s golf team. After finishing the first day of competition in second place on Monday, the Vikings moved into a two-way tie with Northern Arizona University for first place on Tuesday.

Crazy for soccer

Portland has some crazy fans. As the Sixth Man for the Trailblazers, there is no court in the NBA that can touch the Rose Garden for sheer fan power. But across the river, there is another set of fans that controls a different venue and sport.

Representing at the Big Sky

Nine schools are heading to Chandler, Ariz., on Monday to play in the women’s golf Big Sky Conference Championship. The favorite going into the championship is Northern Arizona, but Portland State has a solid 15–4 record in head-to-head matches against other Big Sky schools.

Off the rock and into the city

With the regular season behind her and the Big Sky Conference Championships looming on the horizon, First Team All-Big Sky selection Britney Yada took time to reflect on her freshman year at Portland State.
