Celebrate the end of the year
The Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity will host an year-end party on the Portland State campus tonight. The event is co-sponsored by the Office of Student Development and ASPSU. ASPSU will also sponsor a beer garden at the celebration.
The beer will cost around $3 and under, said Steve Winkle, TKE President.
JAK, a senior from PSU, will DJ the event along with several other DJs, including Insamnia from Los Angeles.
The cost to attend the party is $6, or $5 with a two cans of food. Your college ID is also required, and a driver’s license is needed for entrance to the beer garden. The canned food collected will be given to an ongoing campus charity. The proceeds from the event will be used in part to purchase art supplies for campus daycare.
“Our objective is to get everyone to bring cans,” Winkle said.
The event will start at 9 p.m. in Hoffman Hall and end at 1 a.m.
“The university is trying to promote student life,” he said.
Tau Kappa Epsilon will also have a recruiting table at the event for those interested in joining the fraternity.
