Just before 8 p.m. tonight, Portland State’s office of Campus Public Safety released a timely warning that read:
“Police responded to a report of a person with a gun near the Millar Library. The area was searched with multiple police, and the campus is now clear. Expect continued police presence.”
Update, 11 p.m.: “On Nov. 7 at approximately 7 p.m., a PSU student in Millar Library reported that an individual was acting aggressively towards her and told her he had a gun. The student then call 911. No gun was seen.
PSU Campus Public Safety officers and Portland police responded by searching the library for the individual who was not located. During the search, students were asked to shelter in place. The person of interest is described as a white male in his 20s, between 5’7” and 5’10”, who was wearing a black beanie, black jacket and blue jeans. He has acne scars on his face.
All campus buildings are in normal operations.”
