CPSO searching for PSU student suspected of sexual assault

Portland State’s Campus Public Safety Office released a timely warning Friday afternoon regarding a PSU student suspected in a sexual assault incident that took place near campus on Monday.

The timely warning reads:

“On September 26, 2016 at 5PM the Portland Police Bureau responded to a reported sexual assault at an apartment near the Portland State University Campus. The suspect was identified Friday as Portland State University student Hamden Alameri age 20, described as having black hair, brown eyes, 5″5 with a slim build. He is currently excluded from the PSU campus while the investigation proceeds.

This incident is being investigated by the Portland Police Bureau. Portland Police Bureau requests that if he is located contact Detective Nathan Sheppard at 503-823-3886.

If he is located on Campus, call the Campus Public Safety Office at 503-725-4404.

This information is being provided to keep the Portland State University campus informed.”

The warning included campus resources for victims of sexual assault and interpersonal violence.

Persons impacted by sexual or interpersonal violence can receive support services from the Women’s Resource Center. Student Health and Counseling Services are available to students that have been for anyone impacted by this incident.
