Some musician is without an electric bass guitar worth $200. The unattended instrument went missing from Lincoln Hall about 9:30 p.m. Jan. 11.

An unattended backpack was stolen on campus about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 10. Property loss was $1,998.

Officers got a clue when a locked bicycle was stolen from a rack at 1914 S.W. Park Ave. near Shattuck Hall at 2:45 p.m. Jan. 11. An eyewitness reported viewing the theft.

Forced entry to a vehicle parked on campus resulted in a loss of $780 worth of items. The break-in occurred about 1:30 a.m. Jan. 13.

A value of $60 was placed on items stolen from a locked vehicle in Parking 2 some time Jan. 13.

Nothing was missing after a car in Parking 3 was broken into about 7:30 a.m. Jan. 14. The same day and location, a half hour later another car was broken into and nothing taken.

A vehicle parked off campus was broken into with a theft of property worth $3,200. The theft occurred about 5 p.m. Jan. 16.

Rooming rumbles
For once a fire alarm at a university housing facility turned out to be the real thing. Burned toast was blamed for the alarm at 10 a.m. Jan. 12. The investigating officer noted that it was garlic toast.

A $330 bicycle was stolen at a university housing facility at 2 p.m. Dec. 15. The means of access to the bicycle is unknown.

The aroma of marijuana brought officers to a university housing location at 8 p.m. Jan. 16. A liquor license violation sent the matter to the Code of Student Conduct office.

Mixed misbehaviors
Kevin Buller was cited and released for offensive littering on campus at about 2:15 a.m. Jan. 14.

Tires on a vehicle in Parking 1 were slashed about 6 p.m. Jan. 12. The ruined rubber was valued at $223.84.

Graffiti appeared on a mobile shelter at the business accelerator site off the central campus at 8 p.m. Jan. 14.
