A gun was discovered in the bed of a contractor’s truck at University Services Building about 11:30 p.m. March 19. The matter was referred to the Portland Police Bureau.

Habitation happenings

Unnamed students were involved in a fight in university housing at about 1:30 a.m. March 18. There were injuries sustained. The matter was referred to Code of Conduct enforcement.

Occupants of a university housing residence were observed throwing objects from a window at 4 a.m. March 18. Code of Conduct enforcement took over.

Pilfered property

Items worth $140 were stolen from a vehicle after a break-in on campus about noon March 20.

A vehicle parked on campus March was broken into about 6 p.m. March 20 and items with an undetermined value were taken.

An unattended purse in Smith Center was taken, with credit among the contents. The theft occurred about 1:30 p.m. March 21. The loss was estimated at $410.

A locked bicycle valued at $500 was stolen from a bike rack at Smith Center about 8:30 a.m. March 22.

A key was stolen from an office in Cramer Hall about 6 p.m. March 22. Entry was forced.

A $430 locked bicycle was stolen from a bike rack near Smith Center about 8 a.m. March 23.

Suspects snagged

Christopher Schopp, 40, was arrested on campus and transported to the detention center about 8 p.m. March 20. His arrest was for failure to report as required by court order and he was also issued a criminal trespass warning.

Jason Simpson, 20, was taken to the detention center on a charge related to the breaking of a vehicle at university housing at 5:20 a.m. March 21. He was arrested near the West Heating Plant. Property stolen from the vehicle was estimated at $3,482. A second individual present at the arrest was released.

Cited and released for violating a trespass order was William R. Harvey, 32. The arrest was made at about 10 a.m. March 23 at the Portland Center for Advanced Technology Building.
