Thefts: 29 violations
Car break-ins: 8 violations
Bicycles stolen: 18 violations
Vandalism/graffiti: 26 violations

June 22

11:45 a.m. —Theft
PSU Bookstore—1715 S.W. Fifth Ave.
Two suspects stole software, textbooks and socks from the Portland State Bookstore. The thieves were seen on surveillance video stuffing the items into their backpacks. An investigation is still pending.

June 24

4 p.m. —Theft
Helen Gordon Child Development Center—1609 S.W. 12th Ave.
Over the weekend an instructor’s iPod and accessories were stolen from a classroom. There was no sign of a forced entry.

June 25

7:30 a.m.—Theft
Helen Gordon Child Development Center—1609 S.W. 12th Ave.
Two digital cameras were stolen from a different classroom than the previous day’s theft. Again, there was no sign of a forced entry.

July 9

1:56 a.m. —Fire
Montgomery Building—1802 S.W. 10th Ave.
The burning candle of a resident accidentally started a fire. No one was hurt and only the resident’s property was damaged.

2:16 p.m.—Theft, stolen property and drug possession
Smith Memorial Student Union—1825 S.W. Broadway
Matthew Pflieger was arrested for allegedly stealing food from the student union. He was found to be in possession of another person’s credit card and the drug Seroquel, which is commonly used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

July 27

2:20 a.m. —Underage drinking and fighting
University Place—310 S.W. Lincoln St.
A fight was started at a birthday party when uninvited guests caused a scene. A room heater was damaged in the fight. An officer was notified of the incident during patrol of the building. Minors were cited with possession of alcohol and others, with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol.

4:31 a.m.—Drunk driver crash
N.W. Center of Engineering, Science & Technology—1930 S.W. Fourth Ave.
A drunk driver smashed into a cement wall at the engineering building.

Aug. 14

3 p.m. —Theft
Smith Memorial Student Union—1825 S.W. Broadway
$1,588 worth of electronic equipment was stolen from the ASPSU offices, including a projector, camcorder and digital camera. The equipment was in an unlocked cabinet, according to a campus public safety report.

Aug. 21

10:40 a.m.—Drug violation
Blackstone Housing—1831 S.W. Park Ave.
A subject and a non-student victim admitted to crack use in the student housing building. The victim suffered a seizure and was transported to OHSU for medical treatment.

Aug. 27

3:55 p.m.—Car break-in
Parking Structure One—1872 S.W. Broadway
A car was broken into and a GPS system, sunglasses and Gucci glasses were stolen from a parked car.

Sept. 4

10 a.m.—Theft
Science Building 2—1719 S.W. 10th Ave.
Money, computer hardware, recording equipment and other electronics were stolen from a secured office in the science building. There were no signs of a forced entry.
