A PSU instructor received a threatening letter in the mail from a shelter in Salem. The instructor said they have no knowledge of the sender or why the letter was mailed to them.

9:28 a.m.–Threatening letter mailed to instructorNeuberger Hall–724 S.W. Harrison St.A PSU instructor received a threatening letter in the mail from a shelter in Salem. The instructor said they have no knowledge of the sender or why the letter was mailed to them. The letter accused the instructor of taking bribes from the police, but did not mention the instructor by name or give specifics. Campus Public Safety said it looked like a form letter. No actions have been taken.

3 p.m.–Stolen bikeMontgomery Building–1802 S.W. 10th Ave.A bicycle was stolen from the bike rack outside of the Montgomery Building. There are no suspects.

April 27

9:30 a.m.–Stolen bikeScience Building 2–1719 S.W. 10th Ave.A bicycle was stolen from the same bike rack outside Science Building 2 and the Montgomery Building.

12:55 p.m.–Stolen bikeStreet–Southwest Sixth and Montgomery A bicycle was stolen from the bike rack on Southwest Sixth and Montgomery.

11:21 p.m.–Warrant arrestStreet–Southwest 13th and Montgomery Public Safety arrested Waylon Spencer, who is not associated with PSU, after they found he had a warrant out for his arrest for previously attempting to elude officers.

April 29

12:06 a.m.–TrespassingUniversity Center Building–527 S.W. Hall St.Campus Public Safety responded with the Portland police to reports of a suspicious male on the third floor of the building. He was not associated with PSU and arrested.

1:55 p.m.–Glass door smashedBroadway Housing Building–621 S.W. Jackson St.Unknown suspects smashed the glass on the front doors of the loading dock.

3:52 p.m.–TrespassingBroadway Housing Building–621 S.W. Jackson St.Raven Bell, who is not associated with PSU, was arrested in Broadway Housing for trespassing. He had a previous trespassing warning on file.

April 30

9:45 p.m.–Warrant arrestStreet–Southwest Fourth and Lincoln Public Safety responded to a suspicious male in the bushes of Southwest Fourth and Lincoln. They found that Richard Binkert, who is not associated with PSU, had a warrant out for his arrest for public drinking.

March 1

3 p.m.–Bicycle theftSmith Memorial Student Union–1825 S.W. Broadway A bicycle was stolen from around the Smith Center. A witness described the bike theft suspect as a white male, about 6 feet tall, 170 pounds and scruffy-looking. He had on camouflage pants, black boots, a maroon Nike jacket and was carrying a Nike bag.

March 2

7:55 a.m.–Warrant arrestArt Building–1990 S.W. Fifth Ave.Robert Nolen, not associated with PSU, was sleeping under the stairs in the Art Building when Public Safety approached him. They found he had a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear in court for menacing charges. Public Safety arrested him.
