Southwest Fourteenth Avenue and Montgomery Street
At 3:51 p.m. Officer David Baker and Officer Denae Murphy contacted and arrested non-student George Fuson on a misdemeanor warrant.

Smith Memorial Student Union, second floor
Officers Baker and Murphy contacted non-student Brandon Featherstone at 7:10 p.m. as Featherstone had been the subject in a call from earlier in the day regarding a potential charity scam. Featherstone’s criminal history showed a trespass arrest stemming from similar activity in Salt Lake City. PSU exclusion issued to Featherstone.

October 8

Fourth Avenue Building grounds
At 1:36 a.m. Officer Shawn McKenzie and Officer Chris Fischer contacted and arrested non-student Morecy Jackson for Attempted Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and issued Jackson a PSU exclusion.

Suspicious Subject
Smith Memorial Student Union, basement
Officer Baker received a report from non-student Conner Burnett regarding a male subject following her from the 300 block of West Burnside to the Food for Thought Cafe. Burnett stated the subject was an African-American male, approximately 30 years old, approximately five feet seven inches tall and weighing approximately 250 pounds, wearing an orange pullover sweater and possibly blue jeans. The subject made no physical contact or threats to Burnett but followed about 50 feet behind her mumbling to himself.

Engineering Building, northwest corner
At 5:26 p.m. Officers Baker and Murphy contacted non-student Trevor Johnson after observing him for 30 minutes approaching various bike racks on campus and checking the locks. Johnson consented to a search of his person and his backpack during which a pair of tin snips were located as well as several syringes with heroin residue. Johnson eventually admitted he was looking for bikes to steal. Cited in lieu of arrest for Attempted Unlawful Possession of Heroin and Possession of Burglary Tools.

October 9

Cramer Hall, south side
Sergeant Michael Anderson received a report of a bike stolen from the bike rack in above area on Oct. 7 between 4 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. Bike had been secured with a U-lock.

XSB parking lot
At 2:04 p.m. Officer Gary Smeltzer contacted and arrested non-student Dain McComb on a misdemeanor warrant and issued him a PSU exclusion.

Distance Learning Center, third floor
Officer Baker and Officer Brenton Chose contacted non-students Taylor Wallace and Alyssa Strong at 3:47 p.m. due to the pair occupying a single occupancy bathroom. After brief investigation Wallace and Strong were taken into custody for trespass and search incident to arrest located a syringe and cooker with heroin residue on Wallace and several items with heroin residue on Strong. Both subjects were arrested and lodged at Multnomah County Detention Center for Criminal Trespass II and Attempted Unlawful Possession of Heroin as well as issued PSU exclusions.

University Center Building, lower parking lot
At 7:20 p.m. Officer Chose took a report from a student stating the window on his vehicle was shattered between 3:45 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

University Center Building, basement parking lot, east side
Officer Brian Rominger took a report from a student who stated her vehicle was broken into between 1 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. and a backpack, netbook, Wi-Fi router and netbook charger were taken.

October 10

Liquor Violation
The Broadway
Officer Rominger responded to a report of loud noise at 12:34 a.m. Contacted students in room with noise and discovered a student and non-student Maxwell Hayden Baker supplied several underage PSU students with alcohol. Report forwarded to Housing and the Dean of Student Life.

Blumel Hall, southeast corner
At 1:30 a.m. Officer Jon Buck and Officer McKenzie contacted and issued PSU exclusion to non-student Travis Lindsey for camping in the above area.

Lincoln Hall, southwest doors
Officer Peter Ward received report from a student who stated they were accused of taking pictures of a subject while the student was looking at messages on his phone and the subject verbally threatened to shoot the student; there was no physical suggestion of a gun and no physical assault of the student. Suspect was a white male between 42 and 45 years old, approximately five feet eight inches and 170 pounds with a dark brown goatee, wearing a blue ski jacket, blue jeans and a blue baseball hat.

October 11

Art Building parking lot
Officer Smeltzer received a report from non-student Millie Phimmasone who stated the passenger side window of her vehicle was smashed and her baby blue and black Nike backpack containing her 13 inch MacBook Pro was taken between 11 p.m. on Oct. 10 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 11.

Epler Hall, sixth floor
Officer Chose received a report from a student who stated her $220 blanket was stolen from the laundry room between 10 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 3 p.m. on Oct. 10.

Broadway residence hall
At 5:44 a.m. Officers Buck and Rominger contacted non-students AJ Escalderon and Jessica Poitras who were sleeping in front of the entrance doors. Poitras had a PSU exclusion under the alias Hannah Andrews and was taken into custody for trespass. Inventory search of her backpack revealed one small ecstasy pill, three syringes with heroin residue and a cooker with oxycodone residue inside. Poitras was issued a new PSU exclusion with her correct name and Escalderon was issued a PSU exclusion as well.

Shattuck Hall, west side bike rack
Officers Chose, Ward and Rominger contacted non-student and registered sex offender Laroy Edward Alexander after observing him near bike racks. Anderson consented to search and a pair of thick pliers was located on his person, which Anderson stated were for work, although he wouldn’t advise what sort of work he did. Anderson was issued a PSU exclusion.

October 12

Narcotics Violation
Ondine Hall
At 12:33 a.m. officers were dispatched to a report of marijuana odor coming from a student’s room. Upon contact student marijuana use was admitted and two marijuana grinders and a plastic bottle with clear plastic bags with marijuana residue were seized for destruction. No further information.

Broadway residence hall
Sergeant Robert McCleary received report of a student using and selling marijuana and using cocaine. Contacted student who consented to a search of their room wherein a small amount of marijuana was located as well as a scale and a baggy with white residue that was tested with negative results. No further information.

Smith Memorial Student Union, fourth floor staircase landing, north side
At 11 a.m. Officer Nichola Higbee contacted non-student Roger Steinberg settled in with personal belongings scattered around him and his shoes and socks off. Steinberg stated he was working out there and had just completed his pushups and sit-ups. Steinberg issued a PSU exclusion.

October 13

Southwest Hall Street/Southwest Sixth Avenue
Officer Fischer was flagged down by non-student Jason Pinard who wished to report he had lost a knife. Pinard had an outstanding warrant as well as a methamphetamine pipe and small amount of methamphetamine on his person and was arrested. No further information.

Officer Fischer contacted non-student Eric Graham who gave the false name of Danny Harvey and had an outstanding felony warrant. Graham was arrested on said warrant and lodged at Multnomah County Detention Center. No further information.
