No names, please
Officers were called to a number of incidents in the past few days in which no arrests were made or in which confidentiality is involved, thus, names of suspects cannot be released.
At 2:30 p.m. July 16, a student in a College Housing Northwest apartment called officers to complain a suspect was continuously knocking on the door for one to two minutes.
An unnamed suspect was found smoking marijuana in Parking Structure 2 at 1:30 a.m. July 18. The suspect also was found in possession of another person’s prescription drugs. The matter was dealt with internally.
At 5:30 p.m. July 18, a student complained of being followed. The complaint was handled internally. Another student told officers of being followed near a College Housing Northwest building about 9 p.m. July 22. No suspect was identified.
At 2:30 p.m. July 22, officers responded to a report that one person had hit another in a domestic disturbance at Smith Memorial Student Union. No arrest was made.
Arguable incident
A disturbance caused by an argument brought officers to the Urban Plaza at 11 p.m. July 17. A warrants check on one of the arguers revealed that Milton M. Brooks, 31, was wanted for theft. Officers also found a green leafy substance and a suspected drug pipe. Brooks was taken to the Multnomah County Detention Center.
Shifty fingers
A secured bicycle was taken from a bike rack on campus about 8 a.m. July 18. It was valued at $60.
A lock to a room in Smith Memorial Student Union was found broken about 5 p.m. July 18, but nothing was missing inside.
Computer scanners were taken from an office in Smith Memorial Student Union about 6 p.m. July 21. The equipment had been left unattended. The value was $374.
