Bad boy, bad boy

A handgun was used to hold up a subject near a university housing facility at 10 p.m. Oct. 2. The robber obtained $440.

At 5 a.m. Oct. 14, officers responded to a man grabbing and pushing a woman on campus. They placed Michael R. Eley, 31, in custody.

At 4 a.m. Oct. 8, William Callahan, 53, was approached by officers near the University Services Building. It was discovered he had an outstanding warrant for interfering with public transportation, and he was lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center.

A bad check offered to the PSU bookstore landed James Williams, 43, in the detention center Oct. 14. He was also wanted on a warrant for drug possession.

Lawrence Octavian, 20, went to jail after being stopped while carrying beer on the street near a university housing facility at 10 p.m. Oct. 7. He was charged with misrepresentation of age, possession of a controlled substance and using the identification of another person.

Using force against a complainant to gain entrance to a locked business in the Urban Center earned William F. Savage, 60, a trip to the detention center. The incident occurred just after 4 p.m. Oct.12. Savage was arrested later and charged with burglary and harassment.

Skateboarding on campus near the University Center Building resulted in a citation for Samclusac Alexander, 21. He was cited at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 14 after having received a previous trespass. He was released.

Richard Gorham, 52, was taken to detox and advised not to return to the campus at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 16. However, he did return at 4 a.m. Oct. 17 and was cited for criminal trespass and criminal mischief. He was alleged to have damaged PSU property.

Same bat place, same bat time

A CD player worth $200 was taken from a car parked in Parking Structure 3 after forced entry. The break-in occurred the morning of Oct. 9.

Also on Oct. 9 in the same structure around noon, items worth $200 were removed. Officers discovered what may be blood at the scene.

An unattended car in the same structure yielded $185 in property to a thief at noon on Oct. 9.

Again in Parking 3, also on Oct. 9, forced entry yielded $300 in property to a thief.


An unattended briefcase was taken from an open office in Cramer Hall sometime Oct. 9. The loss was valued at $160.

An unattended backpack was taken from a food preparation area in the SMSU food court at 2 p.m. Oct. 14. The loss was $18.50.

Someone took a jacket worth $200 at about 1 p.m. Oct. 14 from Shattuck Hall. It was unattended.

Clip lights worth $30 were removed from an unattended bicycle at 7 p.m. Oct. 15.

A purse was taken from an open office in Millar Library about 10:30 a.m. Oct. 16. The loss was $125.

A wallet was taken at a bus stop in front of the Portland Center for Advanced Technology. The wallet had been left unattended and contained $285.

A car parked on campus was broken into about 6 p.m. Oct. 17, and property worth $450 was taken.

A bicycle worth $820 was forcibly removed from a bike rack on campus about 4 p.m. Oct. 18.

Parking Structure 1 was the scene of a car break-in about noon on Oct. 17. The loss was valued at $300.

Tragedy averted

Officers intervened in an attempted suicide in a university housing facility at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 23. The subject was transported to OHSU hospital.

Early clash

At 3:30 a.m. Oct. 18, officers intervened in a fight outside a university housing residence hall. The combatants were separated and cooled down with an arrest.
