March 19

Vehicle Break-in

At approximately 1:50 p.m., CPSO received a report on a vehicle break-in with property stolen from a student on the third floor of Parking Structure 1.

March 20

Vandalism

Around 10 a.m. staff members reported graffiti on the front window of Little Vikings Child Center in Epler Hall to CPSO.

At approximately 3:47 p.m., CPSO took a report of graffiti on the southwest wall of the community garden.

CPSO received a report at 1 p.m. regarding vandalism to a student’s vehicle in Parking Structure 1.

Assault

At 3:00 p.m. CPSO took an assault report form a non-student who was playing basketball in the Academic and Student Recreation Center the day prior at 6:30 p.m. and was punched in the face by a person on the opposite team

Fire Alarm

CPSO responded to the ASRC at approximately 7:43 a.m. in response to a fire alarm set off by overflow water system issues.

At approximately 11:13 a.m., CPSO and Portland Fire Bureau responded to a fire alarm in the engineering building that was later found to be activated due to a power surge.

March 22

Trespass Warning

SMSU staff requested that a person be excluded for repeatedly sleeping in the food court area around 1:50 p.m.

Theft

CPSO received a theft report at 3:30 p.m. regarding an automated external defibrulator stolen out of Hoffman Hall that occurred within the last month.

March 23

Vehicle Break-in

At approximately 6:37 a.m., CPSO responded to a car prowl in progress in the Art Building. Upon arrival, CPSO located and arrested a suspect for a vehicle break-in.

Trespass Warning

At approximately 1 p.m. CPSO issued a non-student an exclusion for entering the ASRC after previously being arrested by CPSO for burglary.

March 24

Dumpster Arson

Around 3 a.m., CPSO responded to a dumpster fire located on the south side of Ondine Residence Hall. An ongoing investigation remains open.

Motor Vehicle Theft

At approximately 10:38 a.m., Portland Police Bureau contacted CPSO regarding a Campus Grounds vehicle that had been reported by PSU staff as stolen earlier in the day. The vehicle was recovered in Northeast Portland.

Agency Assist

CPSO was flagged down at 9:22 p.m. by a non-student near Hoffman Hall regarding a disturbance at a camp on ODOT property located at SW 12th Ave. During the conversation, CPSO noticed the camp was on fire and contacted Portland Fire Bureau to respond. An arson investigator later arrived and investigated the fire for possible arson.

March 25

Domestic Violence/Harassment

At approximately 11:34 p.m., CPSO responded to a physical fight between a male and female at SW 6th Ave. and SW College St., both non-students. The report was referred to the district attorney.
