A student’s black North Rock Xc6 mountain bike was stolen.

A student stated he had been in the student lounge when another student came in and yelled at him and refused to leave despite multiple people making multiple requests. Campus Public Safety Office David Troppe later spoke to the yelling student, who stated he had been told someone was using a green laser light to shine in protesters’ eyes.

Student harassed
Montgomery and Park
A student was harassed with a dead branch by masked males yelling “Go USA” and “Go Trump.”

Nov. 17

Welfare check on drunk student
Residential hall
CPS Officers Michael Anderson and Chris Fischer went to check on a drunk male, but when they got there Residence Life had deposited him in his room. The drunk male was unpleasant to officers but could care for himself.

CPS Officer David Baker gave a verbal warning to Mark Whelan for camping in the stairwell.

Parking Structure One
Officer Baker found a student slumped in a vehicle stopped in a traffic lane. He found her driving erratically and visibly impaired. Her vehicle looked as if it had struck a pillar. She was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.

Millar Library
A male on the second floor of the library was reported as approaching people and making them feel uncomfortable. There was no physical contact. The male was also reported as having his property on the bathroom floor and looking over the stalls at people in the restroom.

Nov. 19

Dispute
Residential Hall
A roommate reported that his roommate was threatening to shoot him or put a bullet in his head. No weapons were seen. The dispute was over recycling. The threatening roommate told CPS Officer Baker that he didn’t make those statements and didn’t own a gun.

A student’s silver Honda had the back window broken out. Stolen were a Bufet Also Saxophone and an Apple MacBook.
