Warrant and Methamphetamine Arrest
Urban Plaza
Officer Danae Murphy and Officer David Baker recognized and contacted James Trujillo, who holds a current Portland State exclusion. Trujillo also had a recent prior arrest for stealing a student’s laptop and a misdemeanor warrant. Officers transported Trujillo to Multnomah County Detention Center.
September 3
Bike Theft
Lincoln Hall
Officers received a report of a stolen bicycle. The bike was locked outdoors between Lincoln Hall and Cramer Hall, and the cable lock had been cut.
Trespass II, Exclusion
Smith Memorial Student Union
Officers contacted excluded community member Paul Kwapich in a stairwell. Kwapich was found to have a current exclusion. Officers issued a citation for trespass and an updated exclusion.
Warrant Arrest
Urban Center Building
Officer Gary Smeltzer and Officer Shawn McKenzie arrested Charles Rust Jr. on a misdemeanor warrant.

Cramer Hall
Sergeant Robert McCleary responded to an alert in Cramer Hall and contacted Augustus Bruender, who is unaffiliated with PSU. Officer issued an exclusion.
Vehicle Break-In
Parking Structure Three
A student reported their vehicle was broken into while parked on the second floor of the lot. The break-in occurred between 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 4 and 9:00 a.m. on Sept. 5. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Vehicle Break-In
Parking Structure Three
At approximately 6:00 a.m., officers found a vehicle on the third floor with its rear window broken. The owner was contacted and did not report anything stolen.
September 6
Felony Warrant Arrest, Burglary
Park Blocks
Officer Brian Rominger and Officer Nichola Higbee contacted Amanda Hazel in the Park Blocks near Lincoln Hall around 4:00 a.m. A check of Hazel found a Felony Warrant for Probation Violation Burglary and a current PSU exclusion. Officers lodged Hazel at MCDC.
Vehicle Break-In
Parking Structure One
Officer McCleary found a 2008 Honda parked on the fifth floor. The driver’s side window and rear passenger window had been smashed, and the vehicle interior appeared ransacked.

Trespass II, Exclusion
Extended Studies Building
Officer Jon Buck and Officer Murphy contacted Michael D. Steward on a bench near the building parking lot. Officers observed Stewart had an open container of alcohol. Stewart was found to have a current PSU exclusion. Officers cited Stewart with Criminal Trespass and updated the exclusion.
