Attempt Theft III
PSU Bike Hub
Dispatch alerted officers to a report of an attempted shoplifting at the location. A subject attempted to steal a bike lock, but staff followed him out and were able to get the lock back.
Trespass II
Cramer Hall
Officers were dispatched to Cramer Hall to investigate someone sleeping under a bench. Officers contacted nonstudent Betty Harris, who has a current exclusion. Officers issued Harris a criminal citation.
Trespass II / Exclusion
Campus and Grounds Area
Officers contacted Dennis J. Warren and observed suspicious behavior. An investigation revealed that he has a current exclusion. Officers issued an updated exclusion and a Criminal Trespass citation.
September 10
Trespass / Warrant Arrest
Officers attempted to contact Brian Ahrendt and Joseph Mulberry in the southeast stairwell of Parking Structure One, and both fled. Ahrendt was stopped, and found to be in possession of heroin. Officers arrested him for trespass. Mulberry was found and arrested on a felony parole warrant.
Exclusion
Lincoln Hall
Officers contacted nonstudent Justin Medina and questioned him regarding his occupancy of the single-occupancy restroom. Medina was suspected of narcotics use and officers issued an exclusion.
September 12
Criminal Mischief II/Vehicle Break-in
Blumel Hall Parking Lot
A student reported that someone had broken out a window in his vehicle that was parked in the Blumel lower garage. Nothing was reported missing.
September 13
Assault
Around 12:30 a.m., officers were informed of a fight involving five to 10 people outside of the Cheerful Tortoise. When officers arrived, the fight was over. The victim stated that she was attacked by seven Middle Eastern males in their 20s. The males ran away before CPSO arrived. The victim reported she had been punched in the face and kicked by the men.
September 14
Vehicle Break-in
Parking Structure One
Officers were alerted to a vehicle break-in on the third floor of the parking structure in the southeast corner. Speakers were stolen from the vehicle.
Exclusion Notice
Smith Memorial Student Union
Officers found an abandoned bag that contained an air gun with the realistic appearance of a semi-automatic weapon. The owner of the bag was found and interviewed by CPSO, and was issued a PSU exclusion.
