Earll should resign
Tracy Earll should resign as an appointed SFC chair out of respect for the voters who did not elect her. I believe resigning is the honorable thing to do and the alternative is an illegitimate term in office where she is bound to catch a lot of criticism. But before that, Tracy needs to ask herself if this is more about the students and their right to choose their leaders, or is it more about her personally? Her actions will answer that question soon enough.
The consent of the governed is achieved in the election process and as it stands, she lost that contest and cannot claim to represent a student body who did not elect her. Period.

We created the ASPSU Child Care Center, got 24 hour access to the computer labs and library and started the recycling program on campus; started it.
We also crafted the plans to renovate the student union (among many other deeds) and for a soon be 34 year old geezers like myself, it would be fun to read about the steps already taken by tons of folks in Oregon. I think, at least from 1997 on that all the papers should be digitized anyway, it would be a matter of adding it to the website. Sounds like an excellent project for an undergraduate student, may learn something along the way. Anyway, please consider adding all the student paper historical archives online as soon as possible. It would be good for the community and possibly fun for someone(s) to do. I am biased as a former member of ASPSU and longtime fan of the Vanguard. I know Jud Randell if that shows how from back in the day I am. Just want you to know, many of us — still around. 🙂
