Editor Pick of the Week: Fitbit

I gave myself an early birthday gift or a late Christmas gift or a New Year’s resolution gift—do I need an excuse to buy myself a present? This purchase, though, was one of the most beneficial things I have done for myself so far this year.

The Fitbit HR has done wonders for my health, mood, and positivity, and I’ve only had it for a month! A Fitbit is a bracelet you wear on your wrist as it will track your steps, calories burned, floors climbed, distance traveled and quality of sleep. If you get the HR, it will also continuously track your heart rate.

I have never had so much fun setting goals for myself and tracking my exercise, nutrition and sleep. Whether you are training for a marathon, trying to lose weight, or just trying to be more active, the Fitbit will help you set specific daily and weekly goals based on your lifestyle. Once you reach those goals, you can accumulate Fitbit badges. You can also challenge your friends who use Fitbit.

Although they are a bit spendy, I would recommend Fitbit to anyone who wants to implement more exercise into their life. Besides, that price tag doesn’t mean much when it increases your health, and therefore your happiness and longevity.

There are several types of Fitbits, offering extra features such as GPS and phone pairing. If you’re new and just want to try it out, I would suggest getting the Fitbit HR. It’s one step up from the cheapest one. The cheapest does not include heart-rate tracking, which will make your calories burned, sleep quality, and step tracking much more accurate.

I’ve only had the Fitbit for about a month now, and it has already helped me increase my energy, positivity and health. I would recommend this gadget to anyone!
