A lecture by Jon Peters, M.D., M.S., F.A.A.F.P., on selected aspects of human reproduction as it applies to the history of abortion and politics in America. Event hosted by Freethinkers of Portland State University.

Jon Peters completed a BS in Zoology from Arizona State University, an MS in Biology from Northern Arizona University, an MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and was awarded the degree of Fellow by the American Academy of Physicians in 2007. He has been the recipient of several teaching awards including a Master Teacher Award from The Oregon Health & Science University where he is an Affiliate Associate Professor and the Resident Teacher Award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. He is active promoting secular humanism and reason by serving on the Advisory Board of CFI Portland, and gives lectures on evolution throughout the Northwest.
