Media, culture and communication will be the focus of the Department of Communication’s Honors Colloquium on Friday, June 13 from 1-2 p.m.
in Urban 250. Jordan Campbell will talk about his research on the influence of media and the internet on political attitudes while Jenny Woodman examines how reporters frame the topic of poverty in US coverage. Timira Cobbs explores cultural issues in a school-setting in her research on group communication. Campbell, Woodman and Cobbs, who graduate with honors in communication in 2014, achieved department distinction for excellence in their coursework and research.
