ABOUT LIGHT OF ESPERANZA:
Light of Esperanza is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works to improve the living conditions of the deeply impoverished women and children in rural Honduras. They teach entrepreneurial skills and lay the foundation for self-sufficient cooperatives through no-interest microloans, educational projects for the youth, and community health service projects. Light of Esperanza is not affiliated with any religious or political organization. For more information, please visit: www.lightofesperanza.com
ABOUT HONDURAS:
Honduras is the third most impoverished country in the Western Hemisphere. In rural Honduras, approximately 75% of the population lives in extreme levels of poverty. There are very few opportunities for the women and children to escape the vicious cycle of poverty. Light of Esperanza works to provide a new hope for the women and children through their projects.
