Hailing in the springtime

A series of sporadic hailstorms surprised Portland State University yesterday, showering the campus in violent 15-minute bursts of activity. Those caught unprepared by the unpredictable weather ran for cover or suffered the deluge, while the sleet-crusted sidewalks were left to those huddled under umbrellas to explore.
