Pathos is a literary magazine that prints three times a year and publishes student-created fiction, nonfiction and art. The Pathos editor oversees the production of the magazine.

The Publications Board, which also publishes the Vanguard and other student publications on campus, will conduct interviews after applications are due at noon on June 9.

Students team up to create large city mapStudents from PSU’s Department of Fine Arts are teaming up with students from Fernwood Middle School in an attempt to create the “largest map of Portland ever drawn.” The map will be drawn on the sidewalk in the Pearl District on June 5 as part of the Art Walk events for First Thursday. Participation by the community at large is encouraged, according to a press release.

The map drawing will begin at 5 p.m. at the Albina Community Bank on Southwest 10th Avenue and Glisan Street, and is scheduled to continue until 9 p.m. The sidewalk map of Portland is being created as part of the larger Community Maps Project. A 10-by-20-foot collaborative art map will also be displayed on site.-Melinda Bardon
