Campus Safety chief to hold campus safety forum
Campus Public Safety Chief Michael Soto will hold the first of his “Meet the Chief Forums” today at 10 a.m. in Smith Memorial Student Union, room 258.
The forum is the first of a series of monthly meetings organized by Campus Public Safety, which are aimed at giving students an opportunity to learn more about the department and ask Soto questions.
“My goal in these is to avail myself to the student body. I don’t want students to think that I am inaccessible, and this is also a way of receiving feedback from students about the campus officers’ conduct and professionalism,” Soto said.
Students are encouraged to bring specific questions and concerns to the forum.
The next forum is scheduled for May 21.

The Associated Students of Portland State University is currently partnering with the Student Vote Coalition to aid in their efforts. Representatives from the Student Vote Coalition will be campaigning at campuses across the state.
The primary election will take place May 20.
