PSU makes it on the President’s Honor Roll
Portland State was awarded “honor roll with distinction,” from the 2007 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, a distinction that no other Oregon school received this year.
This year the honor roll recognized 528 schools around the country, including six in Oregon, for contributions to service in the community, according to a university statement. Only 127 of those schools received the “honor roll with distinction.” PSU was the only school in Oregon to receive the distinction honor.
The President’s Honor Roll was launched in 2006. This is the second year that PSU made the honor roll, the statement read. Schools are honored based on many factors, including scope of service projects and student participation in services.
