News can be anything that touches student life, remembering that students attending our urban campus encompass a diversity of backgrounds. News editors need to be quick, connected, and objective. It is essential to provide informative and ethical coverage of organizations and issues important to the student body.

The news editors are responsible for maintaining the News section, both online and in print. The News section covers all campus news, including but not limited to campus events, student government and other student groups, administrative and university affairs, Portland news and politics, and campus activism.
