Jay Kenton, who vacated his post as vice president of finance and administration at Portland State for a similar job at the University of Idaho, may be headed back to the beaver state after just six months.
According to the Business Journal, Kenton is among three finalists for the position of vice chancellor for finance and administration for the Oregon University System (OUS).
Once chosen, the new vice chancellor would begin the position as soon as possible. They would be responsible for overseeing financial, personnel and administrative decisions for the entire OUS, which consists of seven state universities including Portland State.
The position has been open since July when the previous vice chancellor, Tom Anderes, took a position at Texas Tech University.
