Lectures, exhibitions at Saudi Cultural Week

Portland State’s Saudi Students Club is hosting a four-day event about the lives, culture and history of the Saudi Arabian people, staring today and running through Friday.

Portland State’s Saudi Students Club is hosting a four-day event about the lives, culture and history of the Saudi Arabian people, staring today and running through Friday.

For Saudi Cultural Week there will be a series of lectures and exhibitions about Saudi culture, covering topics such the role of women in Saudi culture and Saudi Arabia’s political role in the world.

The event begins today at 10 a.m. with an exhibition and luncheon in Smith Memorial Student Union room 294. A banquet will also be held today from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Coming up in the week will be a lecture on U.S. and Saudi relations, an event focusing on Saudi women and a business forum.
