Meet the future of PSU media

The Portland State University Student Publications Board has announced that it will hold a town hall forum open to all PSU students so they may listen to and ask questions of the candidates for the editorships of the Vanguard, the Portland Review, the Rearguard, the Portland Spectator and the Graphic Design Center

The forum will be from 1 – 3 p.m. Friday, April 15, in Room 323 of Smith Memorial Student Union.

About a week after the forum, the Publications Board will meet to interview the candidates and hire the editors to operate their publications during the 2005-2006 school year.

The Vanguard editor oversees PSU’s daily newspaper with a staff of nearly 60 people; the Portland Review editor operates a thrice-yearly literary review; the Rearguard editor produces a twice-monthly publication of an alternative viewpoint; the Portland Spectator editor oversees a monthly magazine of conservative political commentary; and the Graphic Design Center manager oversees a graphic design service for students and others.
