Stars: Senior guard Dezmon Harris recorded 21 points in the Wildcats’ win over Northern Colorado last week, including going 5 of 5 from beyond the three-point line. Harris is averaging 14.1 points per game in Big Sky competition. Senior center Scott Morrison was recognized as the Big Sky Player of the Week after averaging 15 points, seven rebounds and four blocks in two big road wins for the Vikings last week.
Just a taste: Portland State will attempt to continue the momentum it has possessed over the past month. Currently, the Vikings own a six-game winning streak and appear to be in the driver’s seat to host the Big Sky Tournament. In order to continue their streak and down Weber State, the Vikings must receive contributions from a number of players on the offensive end. The Wildcats are the Big Sky’s second-ranked scoring defense, allowing only 64.9 points per game.
