Technology in education fair

Faculty, staff and the campus community can learn about technology at the Teaching and Learning with Technology Fair, taking place next Wednesday, May 1, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Smith Center Ballroom. The fair showcases how technology is being used by PSU faculty and will demonstrate new technology that may be integrated. Faculty from four departments will demonstrate how they used new technology to teach. There will be an award ceremony and drawings for prizes, including three computers, at the end of the day. Get your Black Sea nutrients on

A Visiting research associate, Gabriela Friedl, will give a special seminar entitled, “A Sediment Story: Nutrient Export to the Open Black Sea,” Friday, April 26, at 3:30 p.m. in Room 469 of Science Building 2. Friedl is working with the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. She previously worked with the Swiss Federal Institute for Environmental Science and Technology, Zurich.

International Night >The Portland State community is invited to the “Citizens of the World” International Night 2002 Friday, April 26, from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Smith Center Ballroom. Festivities include cultural entertainment, country booths, an international buffet, fashion show and door prizes. Cost is $5 in advance or $7 at the door. Tickets are available at the International Education Services Office in Room 212 of the East Hall building.
