Professors to nominate an outstanding student
This is a chance to recognize graduating students who best exemplify Portland State students.
Nominated students might be eligible for the President’s awards for outstanding service and community scholars. Students might also be eligible to speak at the undergraduate commencement.
Submit nominations to John Borromeo at 503-725-4452 or send an e-mail to [email protected]. The deadline is Wednesday, April 5.
Red Cross Blood Drive
On Monday, April 8, in the Smith Memorial Center Ballroom the Red Cross will be accepting blood donations from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students and faculty who are over the age of seventeen are welcome to donate. Donors must weigh over 105 pounds and must be in good health
Currently, hospitals within the region are in need of blood for patients who need transfusions. Please help by lending an arm and scheduling a donation appointment with Franzi Herman at 503-725-3462.
Free Tickets to Richard Leakey’s lecture on “Global Wildlife Wars”
Richard Leakey will be giving a lecture in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on April 5 at 7 p.m. The lecture is about “Global Wildlife Wars,” which is a part of the science Lecture Series. Students can now pick up free tickets in Cramer Hall, Room 111.
