Give peace a chance, learn something new
There will be a student-organized march to call for change and peaceful alternatives to the war on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. The march will immediately follow a speech from author and political activist Michael Parenti. Parenti will speak on campus at noon for free and again at 7 p.m. for a sliding scale donation. Students interested in joining the march and hearing more speakers should meet at 1 p.m., directly following Parenti’s speech, on the west side of Smith Center. New research on English Civil War of 1640
Ohio State University Professor David Cressy will give a lecture, Babylon Is Fallen: Reformation and Revolution in England, 1640-1642, on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. The lecture, hosted by the Friends of History, is based upon Professor Cressy’s research for a forthcoming book dealing with political uncertainty and religious instability in England on the eve of their civil war.
