A special treat for that special someone.

When you celebrate Valentine’s Day, show your special someone you love him or her through the magic of delicious food.

This Nutella kiss cookie recipe is absolutely decadent. Warm cookies, rolled in crunchy crystal sprinkles with a melted Hershey’s Kiss on top, are the perfect way to express your fondness.

These may be called “kiss cookies,” but personally, I like to mix it up with Hershey’s white chocolate Hugs. Or, for a dash of tartness, let the cookies cool without chocolate kisses, and instead squirt a pillow of whipped cream on top, then deck out your batch with fresh raspberries.

Mix and match these variations to prepare a plateful of crazy, colorful Valentine’s treats!

Ingredients
1/2 cup Nutella
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
1 3/4 cups flour
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup red or pink crystal sprinkles
1 package Hershey’s Hugs or Kisses, unwrapped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, stir together flour, salt and baking soda. In a separate bowl, combine white sugar, brown sugar, softened butter and Nutella. Then mix with hand-mixer 2–3 minutes until ingredients are incorporated. Add egg and vanilla, and stir in thoroughly.

Combine the two bowls and mix ingredients together until they have properly combined (avoid over-mixing). Form the cookie dough into small balls (about 3 tablespoons each), then roll cookie dough in the sprinkles so that crystals stick to the outside. Place on cookie sheet and bake 8–9 minutes.

Remove cookies from oven and quickly place a chocolate Kiss in the center of each cookie while they’re still warm. Return cookies to oven and bake an additional 3 minutes. Remove and let cool.

Arrange cookies on a tray, or stuff directly in your face!
