Elko Nevada is home to the oldest rodeo in the state. Started in 1913, the rodeo’s main event, “The Ring of Fear,” challenges five bullfighters to stay in a little circle while a half-ton bull charges straight at them. The last man standing (or lying) wins $500 (medical not included).
