Portland State now has its very own beer … kind of. Rogue Brewery and the Portland State Alumni Association unveiled a repackaging of Rogue’s Brutal Bitter beer Thursday afternoon in a happy hour event aimed at young alumni.

The beer is “Portland State IPA” and features two images that have become synonymous with the university: a bicycle and the PSU pinwheel logo.

The event featured free samples of several Rogue staples including Shakespeare Stout and Dead Guy Ale, as well as free food. Several members of ASPSU including Vice President Kyle Cady, Zach Martinson, Collin LaVallee and Christopher Proudfoot as well as administrators such as Portland State lobbyist Jesse Cornett stopped by to sample the beer and snacks.
