PSU to host forums on new IDs
A series of forums is being held at PSU today and tomorrow todiscuss the new ID cards that students will receive thiswinter.
A new official ID card, named the PSU OneCard, will arrive instudent’s mailboxes this winter term.
Hesitation from many PSU students surrounds the new card sinceit would potentially charge 50 cents for debit PIN transactions.Also, information about the cards is only available in English andthere are only three ATMs available that do not charge atransaction fee, according to current plans.
Higher One, the FDIC-insured provider of the new cards, claimsthat the card will make student life easier with better access tofinancial aid and other on-campus resources.
Students are encouraged to attend information sessions withHigherOne and PSU administration to learn more and get theirquestions answered.
The schedule for the forums is:
SMSU Room 101 (Parkway North)
Tuesday, Oct. 19: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 19: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 20: 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
