Randolph shoots par at AU

Randolph set the pace last Monday and Tuesday, shooting career lows 72, 72 for a total of 144, placing second overall. The Vikings as a team finished fourth out of a total of 11 teams at the Bobcat Desert Classic in Goodyear, Ariz.

Northern Arizona claimed the team title for the match, shooting 302, 307 for a total of 609. North Texas’ Randi Gauthier placed first overall with a score of 143 total, shooting one under par in the second round (71).

Portland State as a team shot 626, finishing 17 strokes behind the Lumberjacks. North Texas placed second at 618, with Weber State edging out third place at 625 strokes.

Sophomore Sara Tiller shot 74 on the first day of action, but fell to a tie for 17th place on day two, shooting an 84. Taya Battistella shot a 77 on day two to finish 23rd in the field and increase her position nine spots, ending with 159.

The Big Sky Conference will hold the conference championship at the same venue, the Palm Valley Golf Course, April 21-23.
