SENATE ROUNDUP

SALP leadership awards

The Student Activities and Leadership Programs are considering changing the method used to disperse student leadership awards. The awards, which are provided to students in leadership roles, currently require a paper to be written each term as well as an application to be filled out. Under the new proposed method, students would be required to take a two-credit course in place of the paper, and enrollment in the course would be limited to 100 students.

ASPSU is now in the process of creating informational non-partisan material to inform the student body of the candidates. Casey Dreher, Oregon Student Association campus organizer, announced that 30 of the 80 largest classes on campus have agreed to allow ASPSU members to perform class raps during the courses.
