Sense Field

Nettwerk America
I heard that Sense Field was the name of a popular ’90s straight-edge band. Well this can’t be the same band. Can it? There’s no trace of punk here. In fact, in listening to this disc we find yet another good reason not to listen to commercial radio. These SoCal alternative types are just dying to be heard, and there music could custom fit any drippy Hollywood teen romance. Example, the track “Save Yourself,” which may in fact prove the straight-edge theory. “Save yourself . . .” they sing, “for someone who loves you for you.” (Pay heed, freshman girls!) I feel bad for these guys, really, they’re that bad. They should throw in the towel and accept the jobs their dads offered them. I really shouldn’t care though, I won’t notice when their song gets played in Safeway.
