Portland State Vikings safety Michael Dorsey is one of the best defensive players on the team. Thus far this season, he has compiled 25 tackles, two and a half sacks and numerous break-up plays with his hard hits and quick hands. To get to know the Viking star better, The Vanguard sat down with him and asked him a few questions.
Why did you come to Portland State? The business school and the chance to play college football.
What was your best moment on the field? When we beat Montana two years ago, that was amazing. And I guess anytime we make a big play.
If you could change one of your sport’s rules, what would it be? I would get rid of pass interference. It would make it easier to just knock down the ball.
What is your greatest strength? I think I am a really smart football player. I don’t make a lot of mental mistakes.
Which is your favorite place to eat on campus? [replies with great gusto] The Ondine!
What is your favorite thing to do in Portland? Hang out with friends, go downtown and maybe have a few beers. Nothing special.
What is your most unique training method? I eat a lot of sweets. People know me for always eating a lot of candy.
Would you give a homeless person CPR if they were dying? If he was dying, then yes. But if he was just being a weirdo, then probably no.
Do you have any hidden talents? I can juggle. I guess that is a hidden talent.
Do you read The Vanguard? If so, how often? Everyday. Well, every Tuesday and Friday.
