Student Health Services are available this summer

The Student Health Service occupies Room D4 in the basement of Neuberger Hall and is a great resource for students seeking cost-efficient medical care.

The clinic offers a wide range of services, including routine medical treatment, lab and x-ray facilities, immunizations, and women’s health care. Six physicians, eight registered nurses and a rotating group of medical residents from OHSU make up the experienced staff.

Students taking at least nine credit hours during the regular school year are automatically given basic health coverage benefits, but can request extended coverage (major medical) for $152 per term. Students taking between four and eight credit hours, and who are interested in medical coverage, will be required to pay a basic health fee of $85 per term and can purchase the extended plan during the first 15 days of the quarter.

Summer rates for all students are $15.25 for basic coverage and $187 for extended coverage. For $400 to $600 more per term, dependents can also be added to a student’s health plan.

The enrollment deadline for summer is July 8 and is available only to those students who were eligible during spring term. Summer office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Students taking at least nine credit hours are also automatically eligible for dental benefits through the Willamette Dental Group.

The Student Health Service urges all students to take advantage of The Wellness Center, located in the clinic lobby. Quizzes, brochures, videos, pamphlets and referral information regarding college-relevant topics such as anxiety, depression and stress management are available.
