The Vikings look to stay ahead of LMU

The Portland State softball team (11-20, 3-5 WAC) started a six game home stay yesterday against the Oregon Ducks. This Saturday the Vikings continue their home stay with a conference double header against Loyola Marymount. The Vikings earlier game against the Oregon State Beavers was rained out and rescheduled for April 29, at OSU. This is the second time the Vikings and Beavers have been rained out. The game was originally scheduled for March 15, but it was also rained out.

With the Vikings ahead of Loyola Marymount by a half game, the Lions will try to edge out PSU for fourth place in the Western Athletic Conference. The Lions are 18-25 and 4-7 in conference. LMU leads the all-time series 6-3 and last season the Lions defeated the Viks in three of the four meetings. PSU will take on the Lions at 1 p.m. at Erv Lind Stadium.
