“Masculine Feminine” 7, Sat.-Sun. 12, 2
France (where they smoke in bed) is responsible for some of the most ballyhooed movies ever put to celluloid, and the films of Jean-Luc Godard are certainly no exception. If you refuse to see “Masculine Feminine” (as I do), note that you will immediately be deemed irrelevant by every lame-ass coffee house denizen from here to eternity. Congratulations, you win!

“Head-On” 4:30, 8:55, Fri.-Sat. 10:55
An erotic powerhouse that is being hailed as “immensely affecting,” “impeccably made” and “uncompromising in its implacable vision.” I don’t know what any of that means, but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t entail “wicked depictions of killer oral sex.” Avoid this art-house downer.

“Melinda and Melinda” 5:30, 9:25
Notable Saturday Night Live alumnus Will Ferrell plays a man named Hobie.

“Schultze Gets the Blues” 7:20
Schultze, a middle-aged accordionist, is down in the dumps because he’s sick of playing polkas – until he meets “Weird Al” Yankovic, who teaches him that music works best as parody. Special appearance by Ween.

“La Petite Lili” Fri. 7:20, Sat. 3, 5, 7, Sun. 7, 9, Mon.-Thu. 7, 9
A postmodern French film that is sure to delight you weird, ambiguously gendered yet oversexed Francophiles.

“Assisted Living” Fri. 9:10, Sat.-Sun. 5:10, 7:20, 9:10, Mon.-Thu. 7:20, 9:10, Wed.-Thu. 9:30
Now we’re talking. Todd, a janitor at a nursing home, smokes huge amounts of weed on the job and fucks with the elderly and infirm. I don’t know about you, but I think this slice-of-life dramedy sounds dank.

Moreland Theater
6712 S.E. Milwaukie Ave.

“The Interpreter” 5:30, 8:15
I bet this movie is total horseshit, but I could be wrong.

“The Interpreter” Fri. 5:30, 8
